*Ear Ticklers

By: Minister E. J. Kolenda

Paul started many churches throughout Galatia. This church-starting journey resulted in the
forming of many churches.

Forming a church was comparatively easy, but later false teachers, men who did not have
Paul's doctrine, entered into Paul's Churches and taught contrary to Paul's teaching.

For the pastors and ministers reading this you will know the feeling Paul had. You have fed
the people, helped them with their spiritual lives, and been like a father to them then
along comes another one that will tickle their ears and they are gone. They have fallen prey
to the ear ticklers and gainsayers.

Paul made one or more trips to Jerusalem to stop this Jewish doctrine of circumcision of
the flesh, keeping of the law, and sacrifice of animal blood. James' church in Jerusalem was
going back to the practice of the Law.

It was with this Covenant-Mixing Legalizers from Judea that Paul had the
greatest controversy.

[Acts 15:1-5] "And certain which came down from Judea taught the brethren, and said,
"Except ye be circumcised, and keep the law of Moses, ye cannot be saved."

James of Jerusalem tried to persuade Paul to compromise on his conviction. In [Acts 21:29]
We read:

"…Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are
zealous of the law: And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews to
forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk
after customs."

In Verses 22 through 26 Paul was asked to take a vow and be like other Jews. In order to break
the vow, James, the overseer of the church of Jerusalem, would authorize an offering to be
made for everyone of them.

Think of the Church going back to circumcision of the flesh, keeping of the Law, shedding of
animal blood for offerings and using animal sacrifices! All of this in the New Testament
Church? Such was the church in Jerusalem in Paul’s day.

But that was NOT Paul's Doctrines of the Epistles. And may I say to all you who are
praying and working for the restoration of the church; the restoration of this our day should
not be the restoration of James' covenant mixing church, but the restoration of Paul's
kind of church!

These certain men from James' church flooded Paul's fields of labor and the battle began.

It is easy to start a church, but it is a big job to keep the church from false teachers and
false doctrines. There are many waiting to tickle the ears of the church.

Paul gave these Instructions to Thessalonica!

In [1 Thessalonians 3:1-10] we find how Paul sent Timothy to Thessalonica "to
establish you".

Verse 3 - "That no man should be moved".

Verse 5 - "For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith
(doctrine), lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labor be in vain."

Verse 6 - "But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of
your faith."

How do we know he was looking for the doctrine? Because the law of circumcision, animal
sacrifice and the other things accompanying salvation were the law of Moses or the Doctrine
of Moses.

GOD gives this kind of faith or laws for being saved. How much personal faith you have
depends on you. Doctrinal beliefs depend on the writings of the Bible. They are to be obeyed
and your personal faith is your own belief. Even those worshiping other gods have personal
faith in something. They have faith in what they are worshipping. What they don't have is
the Doctrines given by our Heavenly Father in the Inspired Word.

Paul Instructs Titus!

[Titus 1:13] "Rebuke them sharply that they may be in sound doctrine."

[Titus 1: 5-9] Titus was instructed to go to Crete and "set in order the things wanting,
holding fast that he by sound Doctrine might be able to convince the gainsays.”

Paul Sends a Message To The Galatians.

"Oh foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you…?"

The entire letter to the Galatians was to restore them to The Faith. They were later
lost to Paul, by the works of false teachers.

Paul cries out, "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other Gospel unto
you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."
[Galatians 1:8-9]

Paul To Rome!

"But GOD be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that
Form of Doctrine which was delivered you" [Romans 6:17]

Paul said to Barnabas these words,

"And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our
liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage. For before
that certain came from James (of Jerusalem), and the other Jews dissembled likewise with
him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation". [Galatians 2:4)

Peter makes a statement!

"And account that the long-suffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved Paul
also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his
epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood,
which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest (twist), as they do also the other
scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things
before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fail from your
own steadfastness" [2 Peter 3:15-17]

Paul Exhorts Timothy.

[1 Timothy 1:10,11] Paul exhorts Timothy to teach sound doctrine according to the glorious
gospel of the blessed GOD, which was committed unto my trust."

Even in Paul's dying hour he was still going on and preaching the message with Sound Doctrine.
Paul never preached to tickle ears or gainsay. He said, "I have fought the good fight, I have
finished my course, I have kept the Faith". [2 Timothy 4:7]

Paul also warns them to be of one mind or one doctrine. Sound doctrine in our day is also a
struggle. There is covenant mixing and the using of doctrines that have nothing to do
with the teaching of Christ. Do we have false doctrines being taught today? The Bible tells
us that in the end time they will be worse than ever.

There will always be the ear ticklers and gainsayers to pull those away who are not
firmly established in the truth. Make sure you are rooted and grounded in sound doctrine
and that your foundation cannot be destroyed by false teachers, false prophets or false apostles.
Being firmly established in the word will allow you to know when it is real or just
gainsaying that you are hearing.

Paul, Peter, Titus, Timothy, John and all the others who were called of GOD were
continually encountering false teachers, false apostles, and false brethren who came
among them.

How much truth does it take to go to heaven?

May GOD Richly and Abundantly Bless You All,

Your Minister and Apostle of Revelation Truth

E. J. Kolenda

The Lord Jesus likened the Kingdom of Heaven to the following parable.

A certain king made a marriage for his son. The wedding needed to have guest attending. The king
sent forth his servants to call the guest to the wedding. They in turn refused to come and made
light of the wedding and went their way. To busy to attend because they had everyday things to
attend to. The farm, the store, the factory, and those things that were far more important than
an invitation to wedding of the king’s son.

The king had gone to great trouble and expense to have this wedding for his son. The food was
prepared and all the plans were made and the king was ready for them to answer the special
invitation.
They were bidden to the wedding and they would not come!

They even took the servants of the king and spitefully killed them.

When the king heard this he was angry and sad. He sent forth his armies and destroyed those
murderers and burned their cities. But the wedding was still ready and the work had been
done but the guest that had been invited were not worthy to attend.

Wouldn’t you think an invitation from the king to attend would have been cause for rejoicing?
They should have been there in their finest wedding garments fit for a king’s celebration.

Since the invited guest were not worthy to come the king sent his servants out again. This time
he told them to go into the highways and byways and gather guest for his son's wedding.

The servants went out and gathered as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding
was filled with guest.

When the king came to see the guest he found one that did not have on a wedding garment. He could
not be bothered to even have on a wedding garment after being invited from the highways
and byways. The king then had the servants bind him and take him away. He was cast away into
outer darkness.

It is so very important that we have the plan of salvation exact according to the Bible. The Lord
Jesus Christ said this, “For many are called, but few are chosen.” I am determined to be one
of the chosen ones.

This parable of the king’s wedding for his son can be found in [Matthew 22:1-14].
