Two Beginnings - Two Genesis'
By: Minister E. J. Kolenda
The word “Genesis” means Beginnings. There are two Genesis’
or beginnings in the Bible. The first beginning is in the
book of Genesis with Adam and Eve; the second is in the
book of Acts.
The first book of Genesis records the first creation of
Adam and all the physical, carnal, material things. This
includes the animals, birds, fish, trees, and land. It
records the first Adam and his fallen creation.
The second starts with the book of Acts or the
Resurrection. It records all pertaining to the New Creation
or the Last Adam, Jesus, the Resurrected Christ.
In the New Creation, we have the gift [ability] of the Holy
Ghost [Spirit]. [1 Corinthians 2:12] “Now we have received
not the spirit of the world but the spirit which is of GOD;
that we might know the things that are freely given to us
of GOD.”
We also have a new kind of love; a new kind of
righteousness; a new kind of creation. We have a new kind
of gospel – a new and Living Way.
In the Old Testament, it was Atonement. [Covering]
In the New Testament, it is Remission [Removal]
In the Old Testament, it was an Earthly Tabernacle.
In the New Testament, it is a Heavenly Tabernacle.
In the Old Testament, it was the Aaronic Priesthood.
In the New Testament, it is the High Priest after
the Order of Melchisedec.
In the Old Testament, it was Passover.
In the New Testament, it is Communion.
In the Old Testament, it was the Blood of Animals.
In the New Testament, it is the Blood of JESUS CHRIST.
In the Old Testament the Holy Ghost [Spirit] came Upon
the prophets.
In the New Testament the Holy Ghost [Spirit] comes into
Us.
In the Old Testament GOD’S people were Servants of GOD.
In the New Testament, Now are we the Sons of GOD.
In the Old Testament, people were Believers in GOD.
In the New Testament, we are Possessors of Christ.
In the Old Testament Israel was the Seed of Jacob.
In the New Testament, real Israel is the Seed of Isaac.
In the Old Testament, they had a carnal, earthly Faith.
In the New Testament, we now have a New Faith, a Gift
of the Holy Ghost [Spirit].
There is a definite line drawn between the Old Testament
and the New Testament. With the Resurrection the baptism
of the Holy Spirit became our way, there is a
New Genesis, a New Beginning. The New Testament salvation
is completely different from the Old Testament salvation.
“And these all [the Old Testament Saints], having obtained
a good report through faith, received NOT the promise: GOD
having provided some better thing for us, that they without
us should not be made perfect.” [Hebrews 11:39,40]
In the Old Testament, they pointed ahead to the Death,
Burial, and Resurrection of Christ. In the New Testament,
we point back to the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of
Jesus Christ.
In us, there are no abilities. In the Holy Spirit, there
are all the abilities. Paul speaks of them as the Nine
Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
In the Old Testament, you do not find the resurrection,
Holy Spirit abilities. The resurrection was still in the
future. This is what the New Creation is all about. “For if
that which was done away was glorious, much more that which
remaineth is glorious.” The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
changes us. We become a New Creature. Yes my dear friends
there is a difference in the salvation of the Old Testament
and the salvation of the New Testament.
Remember when you are told that you receive only Atonement
[Covering] in the New Testament as they did in the Old
Testament that is not true. In the New Testament we receive
Remission [Removal] of sins. To say we only have atonement
is to belittle the ability of the Blood of JESUS CHRIST. If
we received the covering the same as in the Old Testament
then there would have been no need for CHRIST to die.
Please stay aware of this as a New Creature In Christ.

In [Psalms 17:8] we find David saying to the LORD GOD,
“Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the
shadow
of thy wings”.
Just outside our front window in a tree, the birds have
built a nest. We watched the mother sit on the eggs for
days. What a tremendous patience she has. Then again what a
great reward she received.
Looking out one day we noticed that she was sitting up much
higher than she had been. Suddenly she flew away and soon
returned with a mouthful of worms. She laid them on the
side of the nest and up came three little mouths and they
were wide open. I felt a thrill of joy run through me. Her
work and patience had brought forth life.
At this point, they were all beak. In went little pieces of
worm. Then she would get back on the nest and cover them
with her wings. It has been very cold here and she knew
just what to do. When it rained, I wanted to find a way to
cover them but mother bird took real good care of the
babies. She sat there with her wings covering the babies
through out all the cold and wind and rain. We prayed LORD
please let them be all right. They are!
When the mother bird goes to get the worms, the daddy
stands on the side of the nest and guards the babies. This
is such a beautiful example of life and reminds us of what
the Lord Jesus said to Israel in [Matthew 23:37]. “O
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and
stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I
have gathered thy children together, even as a hen
gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not”.
In the past few days, the birds have grown a body to go
with that beak and overnight it seems they have put on many
more feathers. They will soon be gone into the world and
will gather their own worms. We will miss having them to
watch. We are so happy they are healthy and alive.
This has been a lesson for us here in so many ways. I was
very depressed and sad until the LORD sent this family
right outside my window. I began to concentrate on
something other than me and found my sadness lifted. We
searched out verses that have to do with birds and being
covered with wings and learned so many new things. We truly
do not know how very well cared for we are. The LORD is
ever present and we are hidden under His wings just like
the little birds. If He cares that much for those little
birds, how much more, for you and me?
We have seen the little squirrels and rabbits running about
also. It is spring and new life is exploding all around us.
After the dark cold of winter all the new leaves and grass
is coming forth. Just as the LORD has set it forth to do,
all happens right on time.
Just before I send this out I will give you a report on the
babies. They are getting big and the wings are getting
bigger. Very soon now they will be flying right out of the
nest. They might even be gone later today. I will miss them
but will try to keep watch as they fly around the yard.
Wish you could all see them.

Recipe for Success
Bite off more than you can chew,
Then chew it.
Plan more than you can do,
Then do it.
Point your arrow at a star,
Take your aim, and there you are.
Arrange more time than you can spare,
Then spare it.
Take on more than you can bear,
Then bear it
Plan your castle in the air,
Then build a ship to take you there.
