Can Man Be Just With GOD?
By: Minister E. J. Kolenda
You have lived your life as righteous as
possible. You have obeyed all the doctrines but
can you ever be just with GOD? How do we today
become just with our maker?
The sky at night was clear, the air cool, and
the stars in the heavens shone like sparkling
diamonds in the dark blue background. Job fell
asleep in his palatial tent. Suddenly he was
disturbed by a vision!
[Job 4:12-17] "Now a thing was secretly brought
to me, and mine ear received a little thereof."
"In thoughts from a vision of the night, when
deep sleep falleth upon a man."
"Fear came upon me and trembling, which made
all my bones to shake."
Job was a wealthy rancher. He had herdsmen,
shepherds, servants, and maids. He had earthly
possessions of gold, silver, and palatial
dwelling places, yet he had a conscience that
condemned him.
He knew he was "born of death".
He knew he was unclean before GOD, alone, no
one to plead his case before GOD. He had NO
Mediator.
"Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair
of my flesh stood up: It stood still but I
could not discern the form thereof: an image
was before my eyes, there was silence, and I
heard a voice saying, 'shall mortal man be more
just than GOD? Shall a man be more pure than
his maker?"
There is no approach to GOD without a Heavenly
Mediator.
Job lived with his vision. He heard these words
daily, "How shall man be JUST with GOD?"
The years of his life were slipping away fast.
He knew that the days of his life's journey
were ending.
[Job 9:25-28] "Now my days are swifter than a
post: they flee away, they see no good."
"They are passed away as the swift ships: as
the eagle that hasteth to the prey."
"…I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that
thou wilt not hold me innocent."
Job knew that he was facing eternity. The
sorrow of the approaching judgment was hovering
over his spirit, and in his dark tent he was
facing the fact, which he so clearly
understood, that Man is NOT Just with GOD!
Job may not have used the same words as Paul
the Apostle, but the meaning was the same.
[Ephesians 2:12] (Paul Speaking) - "Man is an
alien, a stranger to GOD; having no hope,
hopeless; and without GOD, Godless."
Job finally admitted that all his good works
his righteousness is as a filthy rag.
Then Job looks up to his GOD, saying, "For He
is not a man, as I am, that I should answer
him, and we should come together in judgment."
Now Job is searching, yes, he is begging for a
mediator to plead his case.
“Neither is there any daysman (mediator)
betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us
both."
The word daysman is sometimes called 'umpire',
a go between, an advocate, and some legal
counselor to stand between GOD and guilty
man.
What Job is wishing for is to speak to GOD face
to face. He wishes to use reasoning with Him.
But he states now, "I am not able."
Adam was not able to stand in GOD'S presence
after he sinned, for he needed a mediator and
there was none. Adam's original sin is the
curse of the human race.
No Man Can Approach GOD Directly
In [Leviticus 10: 1-3], we read that the High
Priest of Israel, Aaron, had two sons and like
their father did, they wanted to go into
the Holy of Holies, that is, behind the veil of
the Tabernacle into the presence of GOD.
Because only the High Priest Aaron was allowed
to go behind the veil, fire came forth from
before the LORD and devoured them. Aaron was
not allowed to weep over their death lest
the LORD would have slain him, also.
I repeat NO MAN can approach GOD directly. He
must have a mediator, a GOD APPOINTED High
Priest.
No man can see GOD and Live!
[1 Timothy 6:16] "Who only hath immortality,
dwelling in the light which no man can approach
unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can
see…."
Did not Jesus say, "No man cometh to the Father
but BY ME?"
Christ, after the Resurrection, became our
Mediator, our High Priest after the Order of
Melchisedec.
It was after the Resurrection that the Holy
Spirit was given to man, and "…The Spirit
itself maketh intercession for us…." He
mediates for us. There is no justice without it
He, Christ, is our Mediator, our Intercessor,
and our King High Priest. We have a 'daysman'
in our day. Adam and Job did not have a
mediator. We are very blessed to live in the
Church Age where we can receive Remission of
sins through the Shed Blood.
Only through remission of sins can man be "Just
With GOD". That remission comes ONLY through
the Blood of Jesus Christ, our mediator,
daysman, and attorney for the defense. Without
the shedding of blood there is No remission of
sins. Thank GOD for the daysman. The Just
Shall Live By Faith (doctrine).
How much truth does it take to go to heaven?

Sylvia's Handfuls of Purpose
Did anyone notice the title of this section
changed one word? I had read in the Book of
[Ruth 2:16] many times. I thought they left
“Handfuls ON Purpose” but that is not what it
said.
This is how easy it is to get an idea of what
the Bible says. We think it said something and
we spend our life quoting that way. I read the
Book of Ruth again and found that they left
“Handfuls Of Purpose.” It probably means the
same thing.
The LORD said not to add to or take away out of
this book. Every time we misquote or misread we
have added or subtracted from it. I am truly
sorry for this and it is so easy to do. Many
times those small words will change a complete
meaning to a verse. For instance, “in” and “on”
are two completely different words.
The list could continue. I never want to be a
person that misquotes even one word. Therefore,
this will now be called “Handfuls of Purpose.
I like that better anyway. How about you?

Proverbs, Poems, and/or Feel Goods
[This came through an email forward and I found
it to be a real feel good. Makes you think,
huh?]
How Poor?
One day, a father of a very wealthy family took
his son on a trip to the country with the firm
purpose of showing his son how poor people
can be. They spent a couple of days and nights
on the farm of what would be considered a very
poor family. On their return from the trip, the
father asked his son," How was the trip?"
"It was great, Dad." "Did you see how poor
people live?" the father asked. "Oh yeah," said
the son. "So what did you learn from the
trip?" asked the father.
The son answered, "I saw that we have one dog
and they have four. We have a pool that reaches
to the middle of our garden and they have a
creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns
in our garden and they have the stars at night.
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they
have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of
land to live on and they have fields that go
beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us,
but they serve others. We buy our food, but
they grow theirs. We have walls around our
property to protect us and they have friends to
protect them."
With this, the boy's father was speechless. Then
his son added, "Thanks, Dad, for showing me how
poor we are."
Many times, we forget what we have and
concentrate on what we don't have. What is one
person's worthless object is another's prized
possession. It is all based on one's
perspective.
Makes you wonder what would happen if we all
gave thanks to God for all the bounty, we have
been provided by Him instead of worrying about
wanting more. Take joy in all that GOD has given
us, especially our Friends.
Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when
our wings forget how to fly.
