As in the Days of Noah

Time changes man and the world he lives in, but there are truths that
never change. David Said, “Forever, O LORD, Thy Word is Settled in Heaven”
(Psalms 119:89)
No man knows the day or the hour of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. No not
even the angels in heaven. For it is not given for man to set the time,
day, month or year when Christ shall come. [Acts 1:7; Matthew 25:14;
1 Thessalonians 5:1-3]
Beware of the date setters.
We do know that we are living in the end of this age. Jesus did tell us that we
were to discern the signs of the times. [Matthew 16:2,3]. These signs are
found in the Scripture itself. Shall we look at one of the warnings and
see how it compares today? We will use both the Old and New Testament.
Keeping in mind Who is talking, Who are they talking to and What are they
talking about we find in [Matthew 24:37-39] Jesus speaking to the disciples and
He said, “but as in the days of Noe [Noah] were, so shall also the coming
of the Son of Man be.” The subject is the return of Christ to the earth.
He keeps on with this word, “For as in the days that were before the
flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until
the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came
and took then all away; so also shall the coming of the Son of Man be.”
Let me draw your attention to the two words in [Verse 39] They knew not when
the flood would come. Then note this “So also shall the coming of Man be.”
The world today does not know when the coming of Christ shall be. For the
Lord just like the flood shall come as a thief in the night, meaning unexpected.
[1 Thessalonians 5:2; 2 Peter 3:10; Revelations 16:15] The people
in Noah’s day also thought they were just fine the way they were.
Were they?
Now what was happening in Noah’s day?
We have a statement in [Genesis 6:1] which is noteworthy. “And it came to pass,
when men began to multiply on the face of the earth…”. This statement
lets us know that there was not just an increase in population. This
is a multiplying of the population. We must keep in mind that there were
billions of people living on the earth at the time of the flood. As it was
in the days of Noah, so is it now in our day. Once we reach a billion
we multiply rapidly. We are today living in a serious population
explosion!
We too can say, “When man began to multiply on the earth.”
The second was between the righteous and the worldly ways. This is the spirit
of amalgamation. There has never been a day when the church has been
so worldly. Churches will do anything to get more members. Listen and you
cannot tell the difference between Christian music and worldly music. The
young dress the same as the gangs. Everything goes as long as you just do
it in church. A spirit of conforming is prevalent among the leaders. The
spirit of whatever it takes to get the people into the church. This is
contrary to the Bible.
The Scripture calls our so-called modern, worldly church or religious system
the Daughter of Babylon.
[Jeremiah 50:42; Zechariah 2:7; Psalms 137:8; Isaiah 47:1]
We are now headed for a world church system headed by the anti-Christ system.
They love Jesus but hate Christ and His Doctrines.
Jesus said in [Luke 18:8] “Nevertheless when the Son of Man cometh, shall he
find faith [doctrine] on earth?”
The rejection of the preaching of Enoch, or the True Gospel hardened the hearts
of the vast multitude in the day of Noah.
It seems so short a time ago to that we pitched a ragged tent on a vacant lot,
laid planks on saw horses for seats, had an old upright piano and boards
for a pulpit and when evening came the people appeared. They filled the
benches and even stood just to hear the truth preached straight from GOD’S

and scroll to the middle. This is the way a well-used Bible should look. The
Words of GOD are so important. Computers are great to look up Scriptures
but if you want to hear the Word of GOD then read it out of your
Bible so you get the context.
Today their hearts are hardened. If you do not provide comfort, entertainment
and very little teaching of the word there will only be a very
few that will listen. Even when you do all that they still do not hear
the Word. Preaching that will prick the heart is bypassed in favor of having
the crowd. Everyone believes they are just fine with the LORD anyway
no matter what they do. That alone tells you that they do not know the
Word of GOD because if they did that thought would perish from them.
Church is used today as a business advantage or a place if you get in trouble
to help you. Therefore the church has become a social center instead
of the House of the Living GOD, where the WORD of the LORD dwells richly
among us. This also happened in the days of Noah.
The undue prominence of the female sex and a disregard for the marriage law is
a very unpopular message. It still must be taught no matter what we think
about it.
Yet GOD said to Eve, “…and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall
rule over thee.” [Genesis 3:16]
One of the signs of the times is the boldness of womanhood. Women are
dominating every sector of life. Women want to be free and they want to have
a choice when it comes to whether or not to slaughter their unborn babies.
In America and other countries they make that choice everyday. They
forget that they had a choice not to get pregnant, or married or
whatever they want to be free from in the first place.
Man has become slaves to high interest, desires beyond their paydays, high
taxes, and high cost of living until one wage earner cannot keep things going.
So, the wife is thrust out into the labor field making less that a man
would be paid and this is where the problems start.
Children end up being raised by other children who know little about raising
a child. They in effect raise themselves. We pay someone else to teach
them coldly what the parents should be teaching children with love.
We become alarmed when we see the trend of things in the world, but all must
come to pass, for as in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming
of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. This is the end time.
There is rapid progress in mechanical and technical inventions. This was only
begun a few short years ago. All these inventions are vying for the time
of people to keep them away from the truth of GOD’S Word. Radio, Television,
computers and the inventions are coming faster than the people can buy
them and keep up with learning them. Nowhere is this more evident than
in the current war in Afghanistan and in Babylon [Iraq]. Ever imaginable
weapon of war is being used that man has ever imagined on earth to kill
with. The only place that is left untouched is the houses where idols
are worshiped. I will say that these weapons have also saved lives at
times but the Bible will be fulfilled. GOD is still the one in control of
earth and not man.
It will be a wonderful day when we will see all these inventions used to grow
food and we will lie down in our own homes in peace. In Jerusalem they
will lie down in peace without the threat of homicide bombers. But first
there must come a great bloody fiery war that takes away much of
the population. Please do not lose sight of Armageddon that will come.
If you follow the Bible and then watch on television you will see that
thousands of years ago we were warned of this very day. How many listened over
these thousands of years? How many are hearing it now? Is the singing and
music so loud in church that we are missing the message? Is the preacher
that is teaching you giving you the ALL TRUTH that was promised when
you received the Holy Spirit?
In [Daniel 12:4] GOD Said, “But thou O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the
book, even to the time of the end: Many shall run to and fro, and Knowledge
shall increase.” Will this knowledge increase in the Word of GOD?
The bible says there will be a falling away. Just because you see a packed
building does not mean the falling away from GOD’S Truth has not begun.
Remember you might change A million people’s mind about what is necessary for
salvation but this will not change GOD’S Mind. HE is the same yesterday,
today and forever. We are waiting for the LORD to appear. In (Matthew 24:44)
“Wherefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as you think not The SON OF
MAN cometh.
Jesus will come again to take them that are ready to the Heavenly Realm. In
(1 Thessalonians 4:16,17) “For the LORD Himself shall descend from Heaven
with a shout, with the voice of the Archangels and the trump of GOD and
the dead ‘In Christ’ Shall Rise First: then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet The LORD”.
In (Hebrews 9:28) Paul Teaches that, “So Christ was once offered to bear the
sins of many; and unto them that LOOK FOR HIM Shall He Appear the second
time without sin unto salvation, also the Scripture of
(Matthew 25:10)
“and they
that were READY went in with Him”.
How much truth does it take to go to heaven?
