What Must We Do?
By: Sylvia Kolenda
In the book of [Acts 2:37] the people were
pricked in their heart (minds) and asked Peter
a question, "What must we do?" The subject is
salvation. In [Acts 2:38] Peter, stood up with
the other eleven disciples in agreement with
him, and answered them.
In [John 3:1-16] Jesus is talking in Israel to
a teacher by the name of Nicodemus. The subject
of this conversation is begettal and birth. In
these verses Jesus told Nicodemus this: "If I
tell you of earthly things and you believe not,
how shall you believe if I tell you of Heavenly
Things?"
In our world today we are told that we can be
born again by believing. Any person, who
tells you that, like Nicodemus, does not know
about earthly things.
This person would not appear to know the Bible.
I read and study the Bible, I cannot find where
you can believe something, and then you are
automatically saved. If we want to be like the
Description in Brother Kolenda’s writing it
will take more than believing and guess work.
Psychology, hypnosis, money, and just believing
a creed will not save you. Living a good moral
life and doing nothing else will not save you.
GOD does NOT have a different plan for each
person's life. He is, first, not a respecter of
persons. He did not say, "Okay, this is the
plan for John, but now I have another plan for
Jane’s life."
Let me make this clear to you. There are, of
course, different callings of GOD but not
different salvations. That is why it is
salvation, in the singular. There is only ONE
plan of salvation.
In an organization one of the minister’s said,
“Not being obedient won’t keep you out of
heaven but it will cause you to not receive
your crown.” This is not a game and is very bad
teaching on his part.
Brother Kolenda said that the Bible College he
went to taught very little Bible and mostly how
to speak and pastor the church. There was
teaching about taking care of church problems.
When it came to teaching about the Lord Jesus
Christ there was a lot about His earthly life
but little about Him after the Resurrection.
Many organizations tell you that you don't need
to be baptized or receive the Holy Spirit and
other things that accompany salvation. There
may be things that you have to do in order to
belong to the church. If it is not necessary to
go to Heaven, then it should not be necessary
to belong to the church.
Feel sorry for the person who said this, "I
don't like what my organization is doing, but I
got my minister's license so I can change
things from the inside out!" He was speaking of
an organization that has not changed
doctrinally since it was formed. If you don't
like what they are doing, stop waiting for
change and change yourself. Separate yourself
from them. Don’t try to change others. You can
only change you.
You would think [Acts 2:37] said, "What must we
NOT do?" Of course, there are doctrines we must
follow to be saved.
Even Paul had to come through Peter's doorway
to be saved. The LORD Jesus Christ gave the
keys to the Kingdom to Peter. The keys to the
Kingdom of GOD are the knowledge of how to be
saved. When you follow the Bible Doctrines for
your salvation, you will also use the same keys
that Jesus Christ gave to Peter. This now
becomes Your Gospel.
Salvation is not a game or competition. It is
not something that you can ask Jesus, who is
right, when you get to Heaven. This is your
eternal life that we are talking about here.
When you hear the words "oh, you don't have to
do that for salvation" or "just believe what I
tell you and you will be saved," run to the
nearest Bible for your eternal life.
The Bible is the Living GOD’S Word. Nothing is
left out. It is a great schoolmaster on how to
be saved. Salvation is like the rest of your
life; you have to do your own living. Your life
is yours and yours alone. You were born all by
yourself, you will die alone, and you will
receive the Holy Spirit all by yourself. No one
can receive it for you.
Paul would have been accursed himself instead
of seeing his brethren lost. He knew what was
at stake. Not one person is an instant
authority on the Bible. Yet, you see people who
say a sinner's prayer and become (in their own
eyes) an instant Bible authority. They then do
what is right in their own eyes.
We pray for each one of you every day.

Many believe when the LORD comes we will be
picked up and moved to another place. This is
not the way the Bible tells us will happen.
There is a change that will be made to us and
it will happen in the twinkling of an eye.
We do not yet know what we shall be but when
we see Him we shall be like Him. Read this
entire verse in [1 John 3:2]. It will tell
you also who we are.
What does Jesus look like now and what will you
be like? We can get a small picture in our minds
in [Revelation 1: 13, 14, 15, 16] when we read what
John said when he saw our Melchisedec King Priest.
I quote to you this, “And in the midst of the seven
candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed
with a garment down to the foot, and girt about
the paps with a golden girdle. [Verse 14], His
head and his hairs were white like wool, as
white as snow: and His eyes were as a flame of
fire: [Verse 15], And His feet like unto fine
brass, as if they burned in a furnace:
and His voice as the sound of many waters.
[Verse 16], And He had in His right hand seven
stars: and out of His mouth went a sharp two
edged sword: and His countenance was a the sun
shineth in his strength.
Yes this is a picture of our body after the
resurrection that will take place. Think about
this and try to get a picture even though we
never can until we see Him as He is.
How much truth does it take to go to heaven?

Proverbs, Poems, and/or Feel Goods
Keeping on the subject of resurrection
are these verses:
[1 Corinthians 15:44] It is sown a natural body;
it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural
body, and there is a spiritual body.
[1 Corinthians 15:50] Now this I say, brethren,
that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom
of GOD; neither doth corruption inherit
incorruption.
Grief can take care of itself, but to get the
full value of a joy you must have somebody to
divide it with.
[Mark Twain]
Heaven knows we need never be ashamed of our tears,
for they are rain upon the blinding dust of earth,
overlying our hard hearts.
[Charles Dickens]
