Time and Mankind
By: Sylvia Kolenda
You have just awakened and there is no clock, watch and no
way to find out what time it is. You will never again have
a thing called time. How would you go about your life?
Every person on earth has the same problem; no one knows
what time it is. Think about the fact that mankind is a slave
to time. He works by the sweat of his brow according to time.
In [Ecclesiastes 3:1-8] we are told that to everything
there is a season and a time to every purpose under the
heaven. In the other Verses, it tells us first that we have
a time to be born and a time to die. It then goes into all
the things in between. All these are associated with
mankind and time. It happens to every one of us according
to our time.
If mankind did not have time, he would be more confused
than he already is. In [Revelation 10:6] it tells us that
there will come a time when “Time shall be no more.”
GOD has a different reference for time than we do. In [2
Peter 3:8] we find that one day with GOD is as a thousand
years with mankind.
Time is eternity divided into segments. We have in our time
periods ages, millenniums, years, months, weeks, days,
hours and minutes. Each one has a beginning and ending.
We are told to take some time off and just relax and let
our minds be free of worry and daydream and just rest. Well
the only problem with that is you must have a time to do
this. This time-period will also end.
We have been hearing about the end-time for two thousand
years. Now there seems to be those who believe that the
end-time means the end of the world or the end of mankind.
This is not true. The end-time means there will be an
ending of the age. We can find the signs to look for in
[Matthew 16:3]. Mankind will continue on even when the New
Heaven and the New Earth replaces this old blood soaked
universe. There will be flesh and blood human beings living
there.
We should be more extremely concerned with the ending of
our lives and whether we are ready to die. That will be our
end-time. Each of us as it says in [Ecclesiastes 3:1-8]
will have a time to be born and a time to die. Just as we
do not know the day nor the hour that this age will end
neither do we know when we will die.
[1 Corinthians 7:29] tells us that the time is short and in
[Romans 13:1] it is high time to awake. Whatever the
end-time our death or the LORD’S returning, make your
salvation sure and be prepared. You will be the one that is
looking for His return if you are ready to go.
Yes, it is hard to imagine life without time. Remember also
that the LORD knows the end from the beginning. He knows
life without time. What could we accomplish if we had no
time limit? You can look at your clock now and go back to
the regular time.

to him about the subject of time and he wanted me to
write an article on it. Hope it was helpful to you.]
