In [Acts 22:6-16] you find the testimony of Paul’s
conversion. In the 16th Verse Ananias said, “And
now why tarriest thou? Arise and be baptized and
Wash away thy sins, calling (invoking upon you)
the Name of the LORD.”
Please notice the Purpose for Paul’s Baptism in
Water was to Remove, to wash away his
sins. Not to
forgive or to atone (cover), but to Remit his
sins.
We know that remission means to take away or
remove sin. The blood of animals in the Old
Testament could not do it, but the blood of Jesus
did bring remission to a lost, hopeless race.
[Hebrews 11:27]
In the Old Covenant of Abraham and Moses the sins
were covered, but in the New Covenant sins are
remitted.
Paul writes like this: “for this is my covenant
unto them, when I shall take away their sins
(remit their sins). [Romans 11:27]
Baptism of Paul
In [Acts 9:17-18] Paul had hands laid upon him and
he received his sight. He was also filled with the
Holy Ghost (Spirit) when hands were laid on him.
Then in [Verse 18] – “And immediately there fell
from his eyes as it had been scales, when he
received sight forthwith and arose and was
Baptized.”
Now the importance of baptism made Paul and
Ananias go immediately to the water and be
baptized, even BEFORE Paul took food.
How Paul Was Baptized?
He had atonement under the Old Covenant. He was a
Hebrew of the Hebrews. He had been
circumcised in
his flesh. He had made animal sacrifice. He had
followed the Law to the Letter
therefore he had
the covering (atonement). Why then if that was
good enough did he have
to be Baptized in Water
and Spirit?
Of course it was to remove his sins and not to
cover or atone for them. All he did before under
the Law pointed ahead to the New Day when Water
and Spirit would be available to take away the
sins of the world and give a new kind of life.
This is what Baptism in Water AND Spirit does.
Paul Teaches Remission.
Paul’s teaching on remission of sins is found in
all of his Epistles.
In Romans Paul’s teaching is that “the Sin” must
die”. [Romans 6:7]
In [Romans 6:3] Paul writes, “Know ye not, that
so many of us as were baptized INTO Jesus Christ
were baptized into His Death?” This kind of
baptism also requires that you get INTO the Water.
A few sprinkles on the head is not what the Bible
said to do.
The Baptism here mentioned is Water Baptism. The
serious scholar of Scripture must consider the
subject Paul is talking about.
In [Romans Chapter 3] Paul teaches that the whole
world is guilty before GOD. [Romans 3:9-23]
In [Romans Chapter 4] Paul teaches justification
by the Resurrection. [Romans 4:25]
In [Romans Chapter 5] Paul teaches the difference
between the Adamic Sin [Romans 5:12] and the
personal sins of man.
This Adamic, inherited sin is a Universal, Sinful
State or Nature inherited from Adam. [Romans 5:14]
Through this sin of Adam’s which ‘passed upon all
men’ [Romans 5:12] ‘judgment came upon all men to
condemnation’. [Romans 5:19]
Beginning with the 6th Chapter Paul continues to
teach HOW to be delivered from this Adamic sin.
No scholar of Scripture can take this [3rd verse
of the Book of Romans, Chapter 6], out of the
general line of thought and call this baptism the
Baptism of the Spirit. Paul was not talking about
Baptism into the body. Let us give Paul his just
dues to his intelligence and admit that, when a
writer is writing on a subject of sin, he will not
talk about baptism of the Spirit in one isolated
verse when all along Paul was teaching how to be
delivered from the inherited Adamic sin.
Notice the 4th verse of this same chapter. Here
Paul teaches that we follow the LORD Jesus into
His death, burial and resurrection ‘by Baptism
into Death’. If the baptism mentioned in [verse 3
and 4] was the baptism of the Holy Spirit, then
the [4th verse] would read thus: “By baptism into
LIFE not death. The Holy Spirit gives LIFE.
No, my friend, [Romans 6:3-4] teaches Water
baptism into Jesus Christ’s Name for the
destruction of the Adamic sin. As
[Verse 6]
said, “That the body of sin might be
destroyed.”
[Verse 7]: “For he that is dead is free from
sin.”
Even though Paul was circumcised in the flesh and
had atonement he still had to have the Adamic sin
removed. He then had a circumcision not made with
hands.
His destination changed. He no longer belonged
to
Israel the Bride. As he said himself, “Now are we
the sons of GOD”.
Now, did Paul really teach the remission of sins?
Yes, it was he who taught removal of the sin. He
then writes in [Romans 6:17] “Ye have obeyed that
Form of Doctrine…”
The very foundation of all Paul’s Teachings are
based upon first having the sin remitted. Paul’s
Revelation of the Mystery of Life is based upon
Remission of Sins. Paul our Apostle to the
Gentiles must have his teaching followed.
As he said to Timothy: “Hold fast the form of
sound words which thou hast heard of me…”
[2 Timothy 1:13]
The translation by Dr. James Moffet is as follows,
“Model yourself on the sound instructions
you have
had from me in the faith and love of Christ Jesus.
Keep the great securities of your
faith intact.”
[2 Timothy 1:13 Moffet Translation]
This is why Paul was baptized. As soon as the
scales fell off his eyes and he saw the truth
he
got in the water. Has the scales fallen from your
eyes. I pray they have and if so “why
tarriest
thou?”
How much truth does it take to go to heaven?
May GOD Richly and Abundantly Bless You All,
Your Minister and Apostle of Revelation Truth

Mental Theatrical Makeup
Who are you really? How many layers of mental
theatrical makeup is layered on us causing us to
be someone we are not? What would we really be
doing and thinking this minute without the
mental-makeup? What would we pray for? What would
we do different today with this knowledge?
In our day-to-day life we have different personas
in our lives and that is necessary. In the process
though it is easy to lose us to the actor within.
In order to live we have a built in human
mechanism that comes out when needed. This keeps
us from being barbarians. This keeps us from
fighting with our neighbor over the last bite of
road kill.
This ability to be act or behave by choice is
another way that we are different from the
animals. It is when our entire lives become acting
that we start to suffer. The mental makeup becomes
so thick that we don’t recognize us in the mirror
of life anymore. Yet no matter what you do there
is one person that will be with you 24/7 and that
is you. You know my favorite quote, “Everywhere I
go there I am”.
If sin had never entered into the picture we would
be our own unique selves. There would be no need
for the mental makeup we wear. Even with all the
layers we are each still unique and different.
Remember also that you will always be you. Before
you there was no other you. After you there will
be no other you. God created us each different and
unique. We may as well take care and love
ourselves since we are going to be the only us
throughout eternity. Think about the magnitude
of
this since it is worth pondering.
In prayer let us ask the LORD to remove our mental
layers of theatrical makeup so we can know the
real us. Who knows we might even love that person
a lot. Under those layers is where Kolenda

It couldn't Be Done
Somebody said that it couldn't be done,
But he with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn't," but he would be one
Who wouldn't say till he'd tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face, If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
that couldn't be done, and he did it.
Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it";
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew he had begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
that couldn't be done and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you, one by
one,
The dangers that await to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That "cannot be done" and you'll do it.
